Question: First of, I wanted to ask how did you came into the adult genre?
Answer: I have been a photographer for more than 20 years now, and my work was most of the time in a black and white laboratory. Nude photography was a hobby for me - something just for fun. Five years ago, because of digital photography, my business went down slowly, so it was time for me to find a new way to make money. So I started a new life as a photographer but it was a "full time job" only nude photography.

Question: Why did you start an adult site?
Answer: It is the only way to show all what I want and only what I want. I wanted to do only black and white pictures; today, it is very difficult to sell black and white pictures to magazines. So today Gallery Carre is my way to look at the female body. I am free. I work for me and for the members I share the photos. They are happy and so am I.

Question: Do you operate any other site?
Answer: No just Gallery Carre

Question: What are your insights regarding the niches you cover?
Answer: This is really a very small "niche." We are less than 10 photographers who do such pictures - hard and clean at the same time. We all know each other, and some of us are friends. We exchange original prints. It is "cool."

Question: The competition in online porn is pretty steep. What makes your sites different from your competitions?
Answer: There are two answers. First, it is the only site where you can see all kinds of styles: soft pictures, hard pictures, studio, outdoor, famous porn actress or "first timer" model. There are all kinds of bodies, but always a tribute to female body. Second, day after day, I just build the web site I would like to watch. When I like a picture, I want to share it with everyone.

Question: Generally members are considered as the lifeblood of each site. What is the best thing about your members?
Answer: I receive many emails everyday, and most of them say "Thank you for sharing your pictures with us." They are members, so they have paid to watch the photos, but we never speak about money. I don't feel like someone who sells something.

Question: What about dislike, is there anything you do not like about the members?
Answer: I receive (once a month) some emails saying that what I do is just porn pictures, but this is so few emails. I am very happy with all the members. I trust them, and they trust me.



Question: Why don't we shift the gears a bit and talk about what goes on behind the scene. How do you choose the themes?
Answer: I don't choose themes. I want to do all the themes.

Question: How often do you shoot photo shoots?
Answer: Two or three times a month.

Question: During these photo shoots, have you worked with different photographers?
Answer: No, I always work alone. Sometimes I work with other photographers. We share the cost to rent a house and pay the models, but everyone does his own job.

Question: How do you choose models for the site?
Answer: They must be beautiful, for sure, but the most important is that they must love to do this job and they must be able to show that they are proud to do what the usual girl doesn't dare to do.

Question: What are your future plans?
Answer: New models, new travels, new pictures, and many, many new members !!

Answer: Busty2, TranssexualPalace, OpenYourLegs, FantasyAmateur, Oriental-Delights, and Latin-Goddess.

Question: Just how did you stumble upon the adult genre?
Answer: I have been a Glamour / Nude Photographer for almost 30 years now. The advent of the internet gave me a wider audience to show my work to.

Question: Why did you start an adult site?
Answer: It enabled me to reach a vast audience with my work and, of course, to make a little money!!

Question: What are your views regarding the niches you cover?
Answer: Busty2 is an all natural boobs site with a huge membership base. It started when the famous Busty-Amateurs site closed in August of 2000. (I used to be their main photographer / videographer). Boobs have always been extremely popular and working on sites like Busty-Amateurs made me realize just how popular. Busty2 is a site full of all natural girl next door models that are not in heavy make-up (which I personal hate). They're in natural surroundings. Since the BA days, we have added more videos and hard-core videos to improve the appeal of B2. Our other sites have come about to fill voids in our Affiliate program Busty-Bucks. Many affiliates had traffic which was suited to more than just the boob niche and was going to waste, so Transsexual Palace, Open Your Legs, etc. have been built to satisfy our affiliates' requests. Busty2 and most of our other sites have 100% exclusive content, which we shoot ourselves.

Question: The competition in this business has become tighter nowadays. What makes your sites different from your competition?
Answer: Six webmasters and I run all operations on our sites. We update, design, submit, and shoot our own exclusive content, including hard-core videos. We care about our members and affiliates and listen to their ideas and requests. We reply individually to each and every e-mail sent to us, even during holidays and weekends.

Question: You mention that you shoot your own content. Just how often do you shoot photo shoots?
Answer: I personally shoot 20 - 30 new models each month. Sometimes it's difficult to find that many new models who also have natural breasts, but lately we have been shooting more average size models for the FantasyAmateur and OpenYourLegs sites.

Question: With several sites to handle, have you worked with different photographers?
Answer: Yes, quite a few, in the both the USA and Europe; however, I prefer to shoot my own images and video as much as possible, with the exception of our Transsexual Palace site, where most of the images are shot for us exclusively.

Question: What about the themes? How do you choose them?
Answer: Many ideas come from our members' e-mails requesting certain themes and settings. For example, when I shot Aria Giovanni with her breasts being squeezed in a vice or by a human hand, it was a member's request. Those sets are amazingly popular.

Question: Who comes up with the stories or the story lines?
Answer: The ideas for our work are collaboration between our webmasters, members, affiliates, and me.

Question: As for the models featured at your sites, how do you choose them?
Answer: I mainly choose the models, and we have a lot of model finders who send us new faces almost daily.

Question: Anyone in this industry would agree that the life of their site depends entirely on the members. What is the best thing about your members?
Answer: Loyalty. We have many members who joined almost 6 years ago and are still with us today.

Question: Is there anything that you dislike about your members?
Answer: Not much. Sometimes they can be a little impatient, but that is understandable if they want to see more videos or pictures of their favorite model.

Question: Any future plans that you want to share with us?
Answer: We continue to look for innovative ways to improve the sites and to add more value for our members. We take polls and listen to suggestions put forward by members as to what they want to see. If at all possible, we will implement those ideas on the sites.

Question: The competition in online porn industry is getting tighter everyday. Just what makes your sites different from your competition?
Answer: Our sites are 100% unique. We don't buy content from 100 (or even one) producer that has sold the same content to a thousand other webmasters. Our content has never been seen before, and it will only be seen on our sites. Not to mention the fact that the Member's Areas are completely packed with content.

Question: How often do you shoot photo shoots?
Answer: A lot. Probably about 5 times a week.

Question: Have you worked with different photographers?
Answer: Yes. I enjoy networking with others in the same line of work.

Question: What about the themes? How do you come up with the story lines?
Answer: I come up with the stories. It just seems natural really. Like telling a story - what's going to happen next and all. Generally they just come to me. I'll be getting my mail and I'll see a couple fighting and an idea will pop in my head. That sort of stuff.

Question: Another notable feature of your site is the models. How do you choose them?
Answer: Some from emails I get from people who visit the sites, others from model sites. It's mostly word-of-mouth though.

Question: With a number sites under your name, I'm sure you encounter different members. What are the best things about your members?
Answer: Most of them are honest, cool people that don't fuck around with you.

Question: Is there anything you dislike about them?
Answer: I don't like the members that contact me for personal info (address, phone number, etc.). That's just not right.

Question: Any future plans that you want to share with us?
Answer: Too much. I have so many exciting things planned. I'm just taking it slow, doing everything right.

Hey-ho, porn fans!  I thought I'd tell you how I go about doing porn reviews for AdultReviews.net.  When I receive an assignment, I briefly look at the tour page, and then I head inside.  I know some reviewers may study the tour at first, but I like to save it for last.  That way, after I've been inside the members' area, I can say for sure whether the tour promises were upheld or not. 

I quickly check out how easy the navigation is.  I think anyone who has read more than a couple of my reviews knows I love simple navigation - lol!  I always mention it in my first or second sentence.  I don't think anyone should have to spend much time figuring out how to view all the content within the paysite.

Next I check out the quality of the content.  Notice I said quality of the content. We're all turned on by different things, so a reviewer might be evaluating a porn site that may not be something that turns him or her on. However, as a porn reviewer, you need to overlook such things. It's all subjective anyway, but what is not subjective is the quality. Are the pictures clear and crisp? Does the porn site offer a slide show option or zip download for all its photos? What about the videos? Do they buffer or download quickly? Are they offered in more than one format? This is important because some people are still on dialup, while others have new fangled computers with super duper fast connection speeds. Is the screen a nice viewing size, without compromising the clearness of the video? Or is the movie only clear when it plays in a tiny screen?

I also check to see if the niche inside is what's promised on the tour. For example, if the paysite claims it's a blowjob site, yet most of the content is handjobs, then that's not going to get a good rating from me. The handjob content could be great quality, but the tour is doing false advertising if it doesn't accurately reflect what's inside.

So, as you can see, a porn reviewer's personal taste doesn't come into play. We evaluate based upon tour promises, content quality, and ease of use. We pass what we find on to you, dear porn fan, so you can make a more informed choice when it comes to your porn site purchases. Yep, it's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it!

Pictures.  Let's face it, porn revolves around pictures.  That's why it's so important for a paysite to have good quality pictures, or it'll fail.  The photos should be crisp and clear, not blurry.  Sure, there may be a couple photos here and there that may not be up to snuff, but at least 98% of the photos in every gallery should be crystal clear. 

In order to thoroughly enjoy these photos, I also think porn sites should have a slide show option.  Porn surfing is often a one handed activity, but the slide show option would further enhance most paysite members' enjoyment.  Who wants to have to stop and click to the next picture with lubricant-sticky fingers?  Ideally, a paysite should have a slide show option where a porn fan can choose the timing of the slides.  I understand some porn sites are new and may not be able to afford a web programmer to set up a slide show.  If that's the case, then I hope they make it easier for the paysite members by having a "previous" and "next" link to the rest of the pictures in the gallery.  I've seen some porn sites without that option; this is definitely not user friendly for a porn fan. 

The zip download option is another key feature for a pictures.  Many members want to enjoy the photos well after their membership has expired.  The ease of downloading all photos at once in a zip file cannot be stressed enough.  If paysite members love a particular photo set and/or model, they don't want to have to spend time saving most, if not all, the photos in a gallery.  They will remember the user friendly paysites with the zip download option and will more than likely continue their membership or rejoin in the future.

A lot of paysites offer various pixel sizes for each photo.  I like that option, although the paysite needs to ensure that all sizes have crystal clear quality.  On the other hand, I'm not sure how user friendly 2000 or 3000 pixel sized pictures are.  I don't particularly care to see my whole computer screen filled up with one eyebrow - lol!  But I suppose if a porn user has a fetish for gyno, asshole, or nipple shots, these bigger pixel sizes would be quite welcome.  Whopper pixel sizing fills up their whole computer screen with their fetish!

Speaking of size, I think thumbnails should be bigger on a lot of paysites.  Many of them are so tiny you can't see what the model looks like.  If a paysite only has room for tiny thumbnails, then they should just show a face shot.  Many porn users like a pretty face almost as much as they do a hot body.  There's no sense in putting a full - or mostly full - body shot on a thumbnail the size of a postage stamp or smaller.   How can you see what the model looks like?  I don't know why these porn site don't just make more pages of thumbnails, instead of trying to squeeze a bunch of these eensy weensy pictures on a gallery page.  What's the reasoning behind very small thumbnails?  Is it to make a gallery page look like it's full of a whole bunch of content?  Well, 50 thumbnails are 50 thumbnails, no matter how many pages you span them across.  I think it mostly frustrates porn fans, because we waste our time clicking on models we may have no interest in. 

Continuing our interview series, here's Annie of Girls Out West.

Question: First off, what do you do at Girls Out West and what other sites do you operate?
Answer: I'm Annie, the web master, photographer, video maker at Girls Out West. This is the only site I run.

Question: In a nutshell, how would you describe Girls Out West?
Answer: Girls Out West is non-conformist, always daring, always surpising and never boring. You will see girls in all their diversity. They will make you laugh; they will make you hard. You'll want to keep coming back for more. They celebrate schlock, trash, maverick film-making, and primal urges.

Question: How did you come into the adult genre?
Answer: For the last 10 years I have been working for men's magazines, both in Australia and the US. I do a lot of outdoor shoots in industrial locations, country themes, and suburban houses. Question: First off I wanted to ask how did you come into the adult genre?
Answer: We are the dinosaurs of the adult internet genre. We started years ago in Canada running BBS's (bulletin board systems) which was how communities and the internet (so to speak) was many moons ago. We had a bunch of amateur photos from the regular big companies that we put online at our site and people would call in with their modems to view our stuff and commentary. That was long, long, long ago.

Question: What made you decide to launch an adult site?
Answer:  With the internet coming out we saw massive potential to offer our own adult twist to things. This did not happen at first, as the new technology had to take time to get used to, and we did not start shooting our content until years back ourselves. But it all came natural.  It was meant to be.

Question: What sites do you currently operate?
Answer: We run several sites.  Our first one, Amateur Canada , is our premiere website featuring amateur Canadian women from coast to coast. Our second site is Nightclubgirls. This site is about the after parties and fun that is involved after we go out and have fun dancing etc. It's a great concept reality site that people seem to love--and yes, the majority of models are all Canadian as well. Question: You've been in the business for a long time now and I'm sure you've encountered a wide range of niches. Now, what are your insights about the niches that you cover?
Answer: It's great! We pride ourselves on working with new comers and couples who just love to try and explore their sexuality on camera. It's not easy sometimes but the videos and photos themselves prove that the women enjoy working with us, and that goes both ways.

Question: The competition on the adult entertainment industry had become much tighter nowadays.   What makes your sites different from those thousands in the market?
Answer: Most of the amateur websites I see out there power back models and just want new faces on their sites. I am sure it does them well but we take on a different approach. You will see on our site that models come back after years of not working with us and do more, as they just love it! Our site has many videos of our models and photosets because we want our members to really enjoy and see the amateur models having fun!

Answer: One of two ways! Firstly we allow the models to do whatever they want! What better way than to explore exactly what the lady has in her head (fantasy) and do what she envisioned. Lastly we will just be influenced by her natural beauty and the surroundings. We just make things up that would suit her.

Question: What the about stories?  Who comes up with them and how?
Answer: We don't really have a story line when it comes to the amateur site. Models pick what they would like, or we do, and we just go with it--nothing is as planned.

Question: Content updates are really important when it comes to adult sites. How often do you do photo shoots?
Answer: This is an easy answer.  We shoot every time we have a spare amount of time to do so! A lot of models send in their content as well, but we shoot once a week or so, and sometimes much more, as we run several sites.

Question: During these photo shoots, have you worked with different photographers?
Answer: Of course! We love to work with new photographers in the business as they still maintain that amateur feel and, to be blunt, aren't experienced enough, so it works well with the models and members who just have fun and be natural. I do not like the porn machines that are out there.

Question: Now lets move on to the part that your members are waiting for--the models. How do you choose the models for your sites?
Answer: We shoot almost everyone! I can't rely on my own tastes. I see a woman and all her beauty and just know it's a fit. The only prerequisite is to smile, don't be fake and to have fun!

Question: What about dislikes?  Is there anything in particular that you do not like about your members?
Answer: We have so many ideas and things we want to do. We need more members of course to fuel the creativity we have and find more amazing beautiful Canadian amateur women!

Question: Finally, do you have any future plans you want to share with us?
Answer: We want to expand our sites. And work on our reality site and maybe another, but not get too big and lose that personal feel. We will be doing interviews with models and adding many new interactive features coming out very soon. It's all very exciting.
