Why is it that when a review site ---reviews an amateur site they complain that the content is very "amateurish"
Why do some guys expect professional quality content from a website run by a lady or a couple from thier home?
Doesnt make sense

That is a reasonable question.
I actually think we are very aware of the situation with amateur sites that often cannot be compared to big professional sites when it comes to quality and quantity of the content.
We don't expect to find professionally lit or choreographed pictures or videos. BUT there is no excuse for not using a decent camera to take the pictures or videos and that is what we mean by "amateurish". I think it is also required that even though we are talking about amateurs, you would at least expect that some effort has been put into taking the best possible pictures under the circumstances as well as presenting them in the best possible way. That means NOT resizing them to a low resolution like 640x480 or even 800x600.
All in all I think these are very reasonable requirements for even an amateur site.
Hope that answered your question?

I agree with Jeppe.
It's not too expensive to get hold of a reasonable camera nowadays. An 8 megapixel camera can be bought now for around $500 which will give very good quality images.
I have a Nikon Coolpix 8700 with a SB600 speedlight which did not cost a great amount. This takes images with resolutions over 3000x2000. Admittedly on the site I run we only use this for BTS because we use Canon EOS20E for our primary photoshoots and a Sony HDV cam for movies. We do represent a professional pornstar though and need to keep everything very high quality.
If you consider the cost of setting up a website, the billing processor, hiring a designer, adding security etc then surely getting a good camera to make your work of a decent level should be primary.
Why spend all that money and time setting up a website if you have low quality material and wont get member retention?
