Why does your website try and stick a Trojan cookie into my computer?
My McAfee Virsus Checker stops it and deletes it everytime. I don't appreciate this type of activity from your website and it should be stopped. I did report the type of Trojan cookie it was to the web gallery site I linked off from just so they would know.

Please specify what McAfee Virsus Checker finds.

We do not send Trojan cookies.

As Thomas said, please specify what and where you found it. Preferable with URLs.

I can guarantee that our site does not contain any virus, spyware or other harmful things.

Hi Traveler

First, there isn't a trojan cookie. A cookie is simply something that stores information from your browser into a cache to record information about your visit to a site and sometimes a few other little bits. There is nothing in a cookie that could take control of your PC

From what your saying, I would assume you have downloaded some software which was freeware or shareware and have infact installed some spyware on your machine. Check your machine with an adware killer because I am certain the "trojan cookie" you describe is originating from your PC and not this site.

There are some mean little applications out there which do strange things when they encounter certain code on websites. I had a member of my site who installed some spyware which would then automatically redirect him to another site each time he attempted to logon to our members area. Our protection system confused this spyware and it activated each time.

I think the same is happening to you. I can also guarantee that this site is not dropping trojans or any harmful code onto your machine. I do not work for this site either, so this is a third person opinion

Cheers

Steve

agreed .. decent companies don't bother to do that .. like was just said above you usually encounter spywear and trojans through "freewear"..

All the times I have logged onto and time spent on this site I have never received any nasty surprises at all. It does not even drop a dodgy cookie, let alone a trojan. You aint a flamer who works for another review site are you?? If I sen 3 e-mails to the same person,Macaffee tells me I have a worm--bejayzus--a worm!! cos I write to the same person 3 times!! oooo he does get excited does Mac. Take no notice and come back--all is forgiven.
