I am a lover of good-quality photos. One of the most frustrating things in porn is the poor quality of photography. What
good is a stunning model, high-res pics, and a sensous background, if the shots themselves are crap? I make a full
allowance for the fact that thee needs to be variety, and everyone's tastes differ. But I've come to the conclusion that most
porn photographers are dumb as dogshit, and have a view that they can snap any old rubbish (providing the girls is
moderately attractive), and get away with it.
1. SETTING: Far too many shit backdrops. eg Denisa in Karups PC - in one shoot, the background is a large
orange-brown pinboard. It completely ruins the overall effect. Backdrops should be either bright, cheerful, soft, or
sensous, depending upon the scene. Instead how often do we get drab walls and the model on a bed with a naked
mattress? The only exceptions should be bondage shoots, where drab, dark and threatening backdrops are part of the
sensual play off between vulnerable nudity and imagined torture.
2. OUTDOOR SHOOTS - I'm not a great fan of these - the harsh light often fucks up the pics, and causes the model to
squint (thereby compromising the erotic effect). Great care needs to be taken with the location. The question needs to be
asked as to whether a girl might get naked in the location if pics weren't being taken (eg a blanket on thick green grass in a
forest is great, especially for a girl-girl shoot). The only exceptions are when the shoot is trying to create a sense of harsh
discomfort (bordering on fetish) - eg soft, nude beautiful body on a bare concrete floor strewn with large, rusty nail &
other ugly metal rubbish.
3 ANGLES: Front-on shots often limits the erotic effect. Shooting from an angle is much better (both back and front)
Straight-on frontal pics are not that erotic at all, and if they are. its because the model is usually lilting to one side slightly.
4. SOLO STRIPS - this is the type of shoot most photographers fuck up. The general procedure should be a series of
shots which depict the model undressing in a teasing sensual manner. If the model is a first-timer, her nervous excitement
must show (esp the moment she starts slipping down her panties). Instead, so often we get a few fully clothed shots, and
then about pic 5 the model pulls aside the crutch of her knickers to reveal a full pussy spread. The build-up to the high
point has been ruined. I find it extremely irritating, yet not only do so many photgraphers go along with this bullshit, the
review sites never comment on this kind of thing.
5. UNDRESSING is the most erotic part of a shoot - this means photographing the model actually REMOVING the item
of clothing concerned. But there is also what I call 'bullshit' undressing - eg the model is reaching inside her panties,
fingering herself off, and at the same time, slipping her t-shirt up to her neck. That's crap. How many women have YOU
seen undress like that? One accepts that porn is staged and not 100% natural, but the undressing should have a look and a
feeling of naturalness about it. ONE ITEM OF CLOTHING AT A TIME - and the focus should be on a gradual revealing
of the boob, the pussy, or the arse.
6. UNDRESS HER ON HER FEET: On the subject of naturalness, the model SHOULD BE STANDING UP. Standing
up is the best position for catching the natural curves (of body, boobs & bums) is on the feet (standing, walking, etc). Yet
how often do we get the model undressing herself lying on a bed, or sitting on a chair? Again the 'naturalness' test applies
here. The exception is in a sex scene, there the two involved might very well be lying in a bed as they undress each other.
When photographers do stand the model up, so often they exagerate the curve, so that instead of a delicious natural erotic
figure, we get an oversized bum poked in our faces. Again, this ruins the overall erotic effect.
7. AWKWARD, UNNATURAL, UN-EROTIC POSES. The worst is the model sitting, leaning forward, bum back, and
the hot taken from in front. The pussy has disappeared. Yet so often we see this appallingly thought-out type of pic.
8. FOOTWEAR Too many photographers leave footwear on the model's feet. With very few exceptions, this have a
distasterous visual effect - old runners, black socks, etc are a complete turn-off. Worst of all are stiletos. Stiletoes ruin a
girl's posture, thereby fucking up the erotic effect. If you MUST have the girl wearing stiletoes, (eg secretary scene), take
the damn things off during the shoot! The exceptions are where the footwear creates a special effect - eg if its a gym
shoot, the runners might be kept on while she does a nude work-out, or knee-high boots to create a power effect (eg
Madam Lash)
9. SHAVED PUSSIES My pet hate - it seems to have reached epidemic proportions. The subject is tiresome. That aside,
it's true that many photographers don't seem to know how to photograph a pussy, shaved or not. The fact is that the
shaved pussy has lost most of its body. Somehow, the photographer needs bring that back, and few seem to have any
idea of how to do this. Fleshy labia are a help. But one good pose is: shoot at an angle (again!), legs together and maybe
one leg slightly forward, with a slight forward push of the pelvis. Instead, many photographers have the legs apart, take
the shot from front on, and the butt pushed backwards. The result is that the 'pussy' virtually disappears, or looks like a
naked mole-rat with no erotic appeal. The same applies to shots from behind - these are best taken at an angle, legs
together, butt in the air. A variation can be one leg slightly forward (as if she walking on fours). Such an angle gives a
much better look at the full length of the labia.
10 HAIRY PUSSIES - again, many photographers have little idea of how to photograph a HP. If it's hairy, it should be
visual and obvious, and demands front-on 'treatment' as the knickers are dropped. Hairy pussies are visual in a way
shaved ones cannot be, and the photographer should make ful use of this. Instead, we see many sets in which the HP
remains virtually hidden, except for a few accidental shots. One of the best sites for HPs in ATK Galleria - in which the

11. Close-ups (particularly of spread pussy). This are the finishing off; these are like eating the chocolates after taking the
wrapping off. Once the undressing and teasing is done, have lots of spread shots. But PLEASE have some with the whole
model in pic, and smiling. Regard close-ups of boobs: one or two is fine (especially it she's got coat-hanger nipples) but
10-15 (as happens with some sites), is absurd.
12. HC SHOOTS - SNAPPING JACK or snapping the exact moment of ejaculation. Most shoots miss the 'shoot'
completely. We get a series of cocksucking pics, and then the next shot is after the load is blown. I understand that the
main focus is the video, and that's where they catch the cumshot. But I still don't see why they can't get photos of the
moment the load blows over the girl's face. In these days of much quieter cameras, why is this so hard? In any case,
many of the shoots seem to have no accompanying video, so why can't full attention be made to snapping the moment of
ejaculation? David Lace can do it, so why can't anyone else?
13 NUMBER OF PICS: Should be about 100 for strip scenes & 150 for sex scenes (lesbian or HC). Any set which
doesn't 'state its case' within that limit is too long (unless it's fucken' good).
