Well I'm pissed off - at the complete lack of involvement by people in this site. How do they expect the dreadful quality of porn to improve if they don't get on sites like this and have a gripe?
WAKE UP YOU LOT - and raise the standards (and I'm not talking here about joining the moral minority who think sex is evil)

It's no secret that this forum is not as active as we had hoped. We have tried to kickstart it a few times with competitions etc. But the most active posters still seems to be spammers :(

Any ideas are much appreciated.

Hi Jeppe - thanks again for your reply.

I'm curious - what kind of rubbish are the spammers sending?
Adds for porno sites?

I'm convinced that spammers are not realy interested in creating sales - do you or anyone else knwo of anyone who has bought something from a spam email? I don't.

I believe spammers are the types of people placed on earth to make life difficult for the rest of us.

Hi Jeppe (again!)

Please let me know when the next competition is (I'm assuming the prize in a porn site membership)

I'll be in like a shot!

We have tried a few competitions where readers needed to register in our forum, check out a certain site (for example Brain Pass (http://www.adultreviews.net/review/mega-sites/brainpass-1st-revisit/index.html)) and then write about which site they would like to see the most. Then we had some memberships to hand out to the best ones.
We didn't get one single reply though.

I think we've come to the conclusion that this sort of competition isn't very effective for us. So I don't think we'll do any more of them at the moment.

Any other ideas to kick start the forum activity is welcome. We need to build up the critical mass so that there is actually enough active users to make people post new threads.

Spammers are unfortunately only playing a numbers game, and they couldn't care less if I delete a couple of their posts. The thing is that it costs literally nothing to get a piece of software to post links on thousands or even hundreds of thousands of forums, so even if only 1 in 10.000 makes a purchase of something, they make a profit.

Other reasons can be that they want search engines to see their link on as many sites as possible.

There's a good explanation of it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forum_spam

Hi Jeppe - I find it hard to believe that believe that no one replied! With such disinterest in creating momentum for good-quality porn, no wonder the dumb-as-dogshit porn photographers and videographers are getting away with the crap they present!
