Jeppe: I am not sure whether you want the answer to the question posted since you are going to be getting people from both extremes ranting and raving on and on about the supremacy of one candidate over the other. It will be a very close election for sure..maybe as close as Hayes v. Tilden or Bush v. Gore and certainly a lot is at stake...but if you need the answer I would say Bush is my man...afterall he said twice "don't forget about Poland" during the first debate and since I am Polish I am quite grateful and don't care about any other policy issues he represents (note to people: the last statement is sarcasm!!!!)

Hey Izabella, yes the election is apparently going to be very close. Why it is that, I don't understand however. I guess there is a hell of a lot Americans who have a completely different view on the world than almost all of us Europeans. I simply cannot comprehend that Bush is even considered a worthy opponent to Kerry. I mean, come on! Bush obviously knows nothing about anything and needs help every time he has to say something even close to making sense in public. I am not saying Kerry is perfect, but anything but Bush.

I would vote for Kerry if I had the chance. Not just because Bush and his administration is doing all they can to force their religious values upon all of us by for example shutting down the entire porn business. But I don't think Bush has done a single thing right ever since he became a president.

In every poll in Europe Kerry is winning by a mile. I think this election is very interesting even though I can't do a damn thing about it, which frustrates me a lot because it affects me as well as everybody else in the world.

I guess you can't say it any better (or can you..?) than Bush did himself at one occasion (http://www.toostupidtobepresident.com/shockwave/fool_me.htm)
Fool Me Once, Shame on You; Fool Me Twice, Shame on Me, is what he meant to say...

I sort of understand why he could get elected the first time where nobody really knew how screwed up he would be, but if the people of the USA "re"-elect Bush, I think I will go crazy wondering how many things he is going to screw up in the next four years.

The problem in the United States is that we only have 2 candidates to pick from representing only 2 parties. Democrats and Republicans are the only choices because all 3rd parties in the US are marginalized and not given airtime to state their views. In Europe the parties represent moderates to extereme right and left and you have more than two choices. Yes President Bush is disliked in Europe much like Reagan was in the 1980s when he began to remilitarize US which ultimately led to the breakup of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War. Bush is disliked by Europeans because of his cowboy attitude, his entrance into Iraq as well as your leftist press who constantly attacks him for any little thing he does. Yes Bush is a bad public speaker (just like Jefferson was), yes Bush is unable to get most of Europe on his side in the war in Iraq. However, perhaps France and Russia and the UN did not want to start a war because under the Oil for Food Program they were on a money train that ended with US declaring war on Iraq. The President of The United States has to put US first, not Europe. This is not a popularity contest. Europe with its Union might become a contender to the US (although I think the Union will fail) and it is in our national security do do whatever possible to protect American people and improve life in the US. Unfortunately because US did not find WMDs in Iraq our case in the war was greatly weakened and most Europeans think that democracy may not be able to ever take root in Iraq. But what if it did? Would the world (especially the Middle East) not be better off? Because of Americancentrism, most of us fail to understand or even graps issues that take place in Middle East and all over the world. For some of us 09/11 changed that. Certainly that will not justify our entrance into Iraq but we have to start somewhere. You stated "anything but Bush" and yet Kerry's policy in not much different (except for healtcare, gay rights and abortion). Kerry's stance on Iraq is the same as Bush's (in fact Kerry wants to increase the number of our troops!). Anyhow you cannot judge American politics from an European perspective, much like we cannot judge Europe from our perspective. US is very divided on the war in Iraq (about 50%/50%) nevertheless Congress, including Kerry, gave Bush the right to invade. Is the world a better place because of this? Only time will tell.

(This is why I told you you should not ask..the posts become too long and everyone this they are right including me... :D )

P.S. As far as the porn industry is concerned, I think I can handle Bush...I can't handle Acacia however and this is why my members cannot see any of my videos online.

Yes this is obviously a very emotional issue to all people, and nobody will ever get convinced by the other party, but I just had to express my opinion and how I feel about Bush.

I consider Acacia a minor threat compared to Bush and his religious administration who will be appoiting supreme court judges (with "the right values" of course), and thereby having a big influence on also future laws including e.g. COPA which was barely rejected earlier this year. Things like that may undermine the whole business' existence. The new 2257 regulations are bad enough in itself and a good example of Bush's and Ashcr0ft's views on this.

Acacia is going down for sure, thet had a bad case to start with, and have been too greedy throughout their whole existence. They also didn't expect the big players in the industry to unite as they have done.

Oh well, we are never going to agree on this anyway :)

I KNOW THIS IS LONG AFTER THE FACT AND BUSH HAS WON WHICH STILL PISSES ME OFF. BUT THE THING I LEARNED THAT THE REPUBLICANS DO VERY WELL IS PLAY THE MEDIA. THEY PLAYED ON RELIGOUS PEOPLE VAINTY AND PLAYED THE GAY MARRIAGE ISSUE VERY WELL, TO THE POINT THAT CHURCH PEOPLE FELT A VOTE FOR BUSH WAS A VOTE FOR EVERYTHING THAT SHOULD BE RIGHT WITH THE WORLD. NEVERMIND THAT ECONOMY WAS BAD, MILLIONS PEOPLE HAD NO HEALTHCARE, WE ARE FIGHTING A WAR THAT WAS ONLY GONNA BENEFIT THOSE WHO OWN OIL. LONG AS THOSE GAYS DON'T GET MARRIED. IT DIDN'T HELKP MATTERS THAT KERRY IS FROM THE ONLY STATE THAT ALLOWS GAY MARRIAGES. SO WE HAVE 4 MORE YEARS OF BUSH-ISH

Wow Cowboy...The Republicans "played the media". Hmm...besides the Fox Channel all of the media covered the campaign clearly favoring Kerry. I am not sure how you can say Bush worked the media since 70% of American media represents liberal views similar to those of Kerry. What got Kerry in trouble was the boat scandal (whether true or not) as well as his rather weak stance on gay marriage issue (which was probably the key in Ohio).

Anyhow have a Happy New Year!

Izabella congratulations! You are the first conservative I have found who could express an intelligent argument in favor of Bush. I guess by now you probably realize how wrong you were. Two national disasters in 5 years is a clear indication of the total piece of crap that we allowed to steal 2 elections. FYI a poll came out in the Denver Post a while back that showes who really controls the media. Fact is that for every $5 the 6 major media companies gave the Dems they gave the GOP $8. That's because the GOP has allowed those 6 major media companies to buy out the other 44 over the last 20 years. It used to be said that the Republicans had the money but the Democrats had the media. Then the Reps figured out that since they had the money they could BUY the media. If we really had a free press like they do in Europe we would be watching Bush's impeachment and hanging instead of the utter destruction of one of our major cities. New Orleans is just the latest in a long line of MAJOR GOP fuck ups. It happened as a result of the GOP cutting funding for the Army Corp of Engineers so they couldn't reinforce the levees that held back the water. The bottom line is this country is going right down the toilet because about half of Americans are too stupid to wash their hands after they wipe their asses. If you want to know what's really going on listen to AirAmerica radio because that's the only place you will hear the truth. http://www.airamericaradio.com/katrina/
