First impression

The Best Amateur has a very amateur layout, which goes along nicely with this niche. There's something really gritty and sweaty looking about some of this porn. Plus, I haven't seen the models plastered all over the internet, so perhaps these really are amateurs. Of course, if they're good in these videos, which they're supposed to be the best, they won't be amateurs for very long!

Our opinion

There's a lot going on inside The Best Amateur, and their menu reflects that. Among the menu choices are What's New, Exclusive Pictures, Exclusive Videos, Search by Model and Type, Pictures and Videos Coming Soon, Picture and Video Archives, and Erotic Stories.
According to The Best Amateur, they have over 500 photos sets and over 250 video sets. Prominently displayed on the home page are thumbnails to the bonus sites, as well as the latest pictures and videos. They also have bonus movie channels, updated daily, with downloadable movies.

The photo galleries are zip downloadable and also have a slide show option. The very good quality photos are good sized and open to such sizes as 700x1074 or 512x768 pixels.
A new video and photo set are added once a week. There's a variety in how many pictures are in each gallery. They range anywhere from 19-192 pictures in each of the newer sets. The models often look at the camera, whether video or photo, which kind of bugs me.

Exclusive Pictures contains over 50 photo sets, whereas Picture Archive has almost 500 photo sets laid out in thumbnails. I'm not sure why they're called amateurs because I've seen several of these models all over the porn world. Some are fairly well known, like Nikki Dane and Masuimi Max.

Videos are usually downloadable as a full clip in Flash Player (high), MPG (high), WMV (low, medium, and high), QT (high), and XVid (high). You can also stream or download in clips. For those with slower internet connection, they've added a lower bandwidth quality video option. Unfortunately, there's no description of what's contained in the video, and the thumbnails are too tiny (90x90 pixels) to get a good idea what it will be about, or if the model is attractive. WMV showed in a 640x480 decent quality video; the full screen mode diminishes quality. The Mpeg movie I watched showed in a 786x576 screen and was pretty good quality. The camera is sometimes very shakey - maybe that's where the "amateur" comes in. The videos I watched were between 15 and 30 minutes long. There are tons of very hardcore close ups. Exclusive Videos has over 90 amateur videos, dealing with solo masturbation, lesbian sex, male-female sex, threesomes and foursomes.
Videos Archives contains 174 videos. The ones I saw didn't have as many stream and download options as the newer videos. Some contained just WMV (low) download or stream option, while others had MPG in high.

The Search by Model and Search by Type options didn't work for me. Pictures Coming Soon has 14 thumbnails with cute models and the date their photo sets will be added to the site. Videos Coming Soon shows 6 thumbnail screenshots of upcoming videos and the launch dates.

Other sections on the site include What's New, which is news for the site. Erotic Stories contains five basically unreadable stories uploaded in February. By unreadable, I mean there are no paragraph breaks. The words run from left to right of your computer screen, which makes it hard to read without any paragraph breaks. But I'm sure you didn't come here just for the stories, right? Live Sex sends you to pay cam sites. Bonus Area contains almost 10 of their streaming video channels. There's also a link that contains a ton more plugins: reality, mixed hardcore, and mixed fetish channels.

Conclusion

For a general porn site, The Best Amateur is a good site. It shows a lot of hardcore closeups. However, they claim to have 100% real amateurs, and I've seen at least half these models in many other porn sites. True, about half of them I've never seen before, but if you're advertising "100% real amateurs," then I think it should be 100% amateur. Also, the tour claims "Danish Hardcore amateurs." I'm not sure if they mean all the models in here are Danish. If so, then that's misleading as well. I know some of them come from other areas of the world. Because of misleading tour promises, I can't give this site high marks.
