First impression

To put it simply, the Ten.com tour page got me riled up. The design is catchy, but what really grabbed my attention was the streaming video with short bursts of hardcore fucking starring various pornstars in various scenarios playing on the landing page. The promises of thousands of movies, regular updates every day and 12 bonus sites on top of the massive DVD collection here just seems too good to be true. We visited Ten.com about a year ago so we know that it actually is true, but I'm curious to see how far they've come in that time. The library should be much larger after a year of making 4 new updates every single day, and rumor has it the media options and qualities have changed. Let's get inside.

Our opinion

Inside the Ten.com members area the design has been tweaked and upgraded. The result is a slightly improved surfing experience from our last visit. They still have that powerful Advanced Search option but it's even better than I remember it. You can add numerous filters to your search. There are 8 parent categories: Star, Sexual Act, Physical Attribute, Video Title, Sex Toy, Clothing, Setting and Studio. Within each of these are further categories, which often have even more detailed sub-categories within them. Needless to say you can get very specific about what you're interested in finding, and the results are very accurate.

Easy browsing is a good thing but what really counts in the end is the porn and the quality in which it's served to us. In terms of pornography there is no one niche or category that drives the site. Instead there's a mix of everything and anything. Babes like Anna Nova, Silvia Saint, Sativa Rose, Teagan Presley and many others are on the roster here doing their thing in a variety of niches: Anal Sex, Big Tits, Lesbian Sex, Group Sex, MILF/Mature Women, Creampies, Squirting, Shaved, High Heels, etc. It's a long list, and even longer if you don't use the default categories and jump into the advanced search mentioned.

In the past content quality at Ten.com was a bit inconsistent and rather mediocre. Boy have things changed. The site isn't leading the online porn community in quality options, but they've made major improvements. The Real Media streaming format has been replaced by Microsoft Silverlight streaming. This works just like Flash video, and if you're using Internet Explorer chances are the plugin is already installed. If not it's free and easy to grab. These videos stream at 500, 1,000 and 1,500 kbps at a 400x300 resolution. The smaller resolution at the 1,500kbps setting looks fantastic, though some older movies will only go up to 1,000kbps. Downloads have always been offered in Windows Media format and they still are and at the same 640x480 resolution. These are also offered at 500/1000/1500kbps settings. You will need to download the 2257 docs for every video which is a little strange, and annoying, but the movies do look good.

Most of the claims on the tour had to do with content numbers, and after spending some time counting and browsing around, I can confirm that there are over 5,000+ scenes (on 1,139 DVDs), that updates are indeed made four times every day (there's a running clock marking in how many hours 4 videos have been added), and well over 1,800 models. There are also no download limits and easy access to the 12 bonus sites mentioned.

Beyond those 12 bonus sites you get a lot of other porn under the EXTRAS tab on the main menu. This is where you'll find the iPod clips (thus completing their promise of mobile porn), classic porn videos and a good deal of behind the scenes footage. The site is just flush with all sorts of content and has a lot to offer.

Conclusion

Ten.com didn't exaggerate what they had to offer. The site is huge, diverse and now offers some great quality video streams and downloads. With 4 new video scenes added daily and a huge slew of extras, bonus videos and all-access porn sites fans of hardcore porn shouldn't ever need to wander beyond the walls of Ten.com for action once they've become a member.

It's a great deal, and the life-time membership struck me as a particularly sound route to go for those serious about porn. It breaks down to paying 1/2 price for 12 months, then getting access for free for the rest of your life! This is one site where a life-time commitment may actually make good sense.
