Intro promises

"We chase female skirts: minis, tight-fitting skirts, see-through skirts and simply skirts women wear on their hips, waists and buns. We hunt for nifty legs in stockings and pantyhose. We hunt for buns covered with panties, openwork shorts, sexual bikinis and string bikinis. We do not trouble girls and do not attack them. We simply film with our cameras what they involuntarily show to men, dressing short, very short, out-and-outer short skirts and dresses."

There are too many verbal descriptions and promises to quote here, so in short: All this upskirt stuff is authentic and not posed, filmed by skillfull "peepers". Among the samples preview there are some typical examples for both video and pictures, some true nudie pics among them, and a few screenshots of the members part of Upskirtmania like they are typically presented further down in this review.

First impression

Yep, the most common point of view of Upskirtmania is indeed the view of a dachshund walking close to its madam looking up. The second impression is: forget the musings about women don't wearing pants - this never seems to happen. And the thoughts following just the first impression: A risky photographer's job - seems one could get slapped in the face quite fast. More: I suppose photos like these (i.e. unposed and unaware) are not allowed in the western states - something like this only is possible in Russia - there are some more hints that this is in fact a Russian production.

Our opinion

Well, Russian production to me definitely is no equivalent for weak, unprofessional work. This site again confirms that. But there is one fact that does not get clear by having a look at the intro promises: The photographs originate from two sources. A big part of them is as introduced above (the dachshund's point of view), but the other part are in my opinion more typical nudie and showing-it-all-pics with posing (and quite nice) models in different surroundings. All the naked pics in the preview originate from the second part without being mentioned explicitely. Since these two parts don't have that much in common, I will describe them seperately. Note that this difference is only valid for the pictures; the movies are all upskirt takes.

The pictures belonging to the first part obviously all were done with a hidden camera. I suppose they used a small camcorder having default PAL resolution (ie. max. 768x576 pixel), most times the pictures look a little bit cropped to me and thus are even smaller. They have the typical screenshot quality and as a result are much weaker quality than what you get even from a digital camera - no comparison to actual quality levels on the net. The models are mostly everyday women photographed somewhere on the street, in parks or in shops. I already mentioned it: I did not see any nudity among these pics. In addition to these pics there are some takes by a spycam in a dressing room or wardrobe, where indeed some nude gals got caught. But these are no upskirt pics - and there are only a few.

That's completely different with the second part of the pics: These are high-resolution shots (up to 1400x1000 pixel), professionally done with posing models. And there is a lot of complete nudity and even some sexual action within them - mostly lesbian games. The models are nice looking women of the girl-next-door-type, less the typical professional model. Although some of these pics try to imitate the typical upskirt shots - meaning the model lets you more or less directly peek between her legs from below - I consider them to be different from the first part and not being authentic.

I counted a grand total number of more than 350 picture series, each with something from 3 up to 40 pictures. The site has a total of ~4700 different pictures at the moment.

The site also contains ~250 videos. They belong to a combination of all the types mentioned above, i.e. the bigger part was recorded with a hidden cam, whereas there are also quite a lot of the second type. I even suppose the video here are quite often the source of pictures (or screen caps) from the first picture category. Their picture quality is nevertheless alright - looks like a digital camcorder to me and confirms good movie quality does not automatically mean good picture quality. Movie length is varying a lot with the recorded scenes, but up to several minutes. Resolution is a good 520x576, encoded with DivX. The file sizes are varying roughly between 20 and 100 MB.

Concerning the content, there is no bonus stuff or anything else here. The rest are "comfort" functions of the site - a forum - sadly a little bit dead - an opportunity to rate or coment the content, but no cam system, well, it would perhaps not fit well here.

The site is nice to navigate - there is a "how to" on the home page. All content can be surfed chronologically or by themes. There seems to be a database behind these for easier organization. It's no problem to find the clips belonging to picture series. Each picture opens on a seperate page (watch your popup-blocker!). Many pictures - especially the newer ones - are available in two resolutions. All content is downloadable - movies of do not have DRM. By the way, a few times ZIP-files are mentioned. I asked myself a few times whether I am blind or too stupid - didn't find them at all. The graphical design of the site is simple - brown/red text on white background with graphical elements only at the top of the site and quite a lot of text. Not priceworthy but functional.

Conclusion

I didn't find it easy to come to a clear conclusion after having seen Upskirt Mania. Of course it's aimed at the fan of upskirts or voyeuristic shoots - but there is a significant part of content that in my opinion will not truly come through for this fetish. And those who prefer the "real" stuff (i.e. seeing it all) like me, will get frustrated mainly looking at panties and pantyhose bottoms. The other pictures - the staged ones - are okay and there are some quite good nudie pics among them - but I would not subscribe to an upskirt site and expect such shoots. In my opinion a site has to have a clear target audience and will only be good and successful if it knows how to approach it. Nevertheless the price of $10 for ten days and $20 for a month is not too bad but acceptable.
