Well, that whole no actors thing goes right out the window the second you scroll down the tour page and stop at the first girl. There's an established porn actress for you. I bet a lot of these women aren't even actually mothers! Inside the story doesn't get much better. I'm seeing ads galore. Hopefully I can sift through it all for my review.
Alright. Forget everything you know about member sites. Actually, scratch that. Remember everything you know (or if you have never joined a porn site before, what you imagine it should be) and realize that this will go against it. All the functionality you've grown accustomed to -- gone. All the simplicity and ease of use -- gone. All the rational links -- gone. Let me explain.
Like I mentioned, the members page is flooded with ads. Most of what you see is a link to something non-MILF RIDERS. There's a little menu bar on the top left. You'd assume that would bring you to different sections of the site, but you'd be wrong. Some open up in a new window. Others don't. All lead to nothing of real interest as far as this review is concerned. Scrolling down both the left and right columns of the page you'll find more "bonus" content, "added value" and various items. They're all given their own names, but yeah. Down the middle is the real site stuff. Below that in the middle are a bunch more ads and partnership things, of course.
Now here's where the site gets a little dumb. They give you the three most recent updates, complete with descriptions and a few thumbs for the photo gallery and a bigger one for the video. Below that are more of the girls. Not all, but a larger sampling. All of this leads to the same place. Everywhere within these thumbnails and previews that you would want to click basically brings you to what I would call the real member main page. The image thumbnails don't take you to the gallery for that girl. They don't even take you to a general image main page. Same for the videos. It all leads to a main page listing all the girls. How nice of them to make you look at all that advertising stuff with misleading menus and such before you get into the actual site.
Once in here, you still get that pointless menu thing on the top left. You also get to see all the girls the site has to offer. Each girl has links to movies and photos, a thumbnail image and a brief description. If this site has anything going for it, it's that the selection of women to pick from is quite varied. You get all kinds of ages, body types, breast sizes, hair colors and more. From the dweeb to the model. From the late twenties to the nearly ancient. It's here.
If you want to see those wrinkles up close, check out the photo galleries. They lack the web design polish of the rest of the site. Set up in a simple table of only 3 by 3, you can easily navigate between pages and clicking on a photo will get you a very nice sized image with navigation as well. There really should be more thumbs to a page, but at least these aren't just screenshots. They make these actresses (don't let them fool you otherwise) pose for some digital snapshots before they get to go home. The pictures aren't incredibly varied, but progress in something of a flipbook fashion due to the sheer number of images posted. The quality isn't great, but it certainly isn't terrible, either. If the pictures themselves had more depth, background, texture or professionalism attached, I'd be a lot happier. Instead, enjoy the white wall with shrub.
The videos are presented in parts only. There's no option on any episode to download the whole thing in one swoop. The parts are divided up into about two minute pieces and there's fifteen to twenty individual downloads needed to get the whole thing. It's difficult to devote that much time to clicking, saving and waiting when you know you could get virtually the same from free sites or you could get better from other pay sites. Members don't deserve the fun size candies on halloween. They made the effort to go to the rich neighborhood and damn well better get the whole bar.
Most are available in wmv format, although I did run across a mov. The .mov files were horrible quality and even at their small presentation size, you could see a lot of pixelation problems. If you try to blow it up to full size, you might as well just forget about it. The sound quality is surprisingly good, even when outside and they're walking and talking.
The camera work is worse than your typical reality site handheld roaming job. This time the guy tries to find a static set up point and actually blocks out some of the action. You don't always get to see what you want.
And I just don't like the personalities of the guys involved. Besides their wretched faces (which I honestly won't count against the site, because it's about girls and sex and not the dudes), they just have this stupid cocky attitude thing going that rubs me the wrong way. The situations are a little stupid and the set-ups move as quick as the snap of the fingers. Key points are left out. Let's take the .mov file starring that porn star I mentioned up top as an example. The set up is ugly dude talking to camera guy, then they see a girl. He "meets" her away from the camera and within a minute they start walking together making lewd, sexual comments. Cut to their house where a third guy suddenly is now holding the camera and interviewing her. First camera guy is now a participant. What happened? There's also a scenario where a female doctor makes a house call after work. She walks in, not acknowledging the light stands, or camera and proceeds her routine for a little bit before asking about it. Natural instinct is to at least look at it. And I'm sure many doctors make house calls in "fuck me" boots.
Anyways. MILF Riders just furthers the notion that you can never take reality sites at face value. These girls are all actresses. Some get a lot more work than others, but they all know what they're getting into ahead of time. Real people wouldn't do a movie then hang around for digital pics. Real people wouldn't appear in more than one site. Aside from the lie, the price is very steep for such unfriendly design and navigation and video quality. If you're going to inundate your site with ads to help curb the costs, you should reflect that in your pricing. There have to be better mature sites out there than this. Keep riding.
