First impression

This appears to be well-known pornstar Silvia Saint's personal club site.
There's a list of some other girls that are featured on the site, but none of the names ring a bell. I guess they fall into the "Tons of other Czech babes and amateurs" that are featured on the site. The preview pages give you some pictures of Silvia of course, but I don't get a real impression of what kind of content I can expect on the site, other than some behind the scenes stuff. I can only assume there's actually more than that from such a prolific name in the adult business... but there's only one way to find out!

The members' section opens in a new browser window with a bright white background, a header banner, then goes straight into the list of the 23 most recent sets. Each set gets 4 nicely-sized thumbnails, a date and a title. Most sets are standalone, though some have several parts to them. There appears to be a mixture of glamour, hardcore and behind-the-scenes stuff here. Checking into one of the glamour photo sets, you get 36 nice-looking thumbs per page, a link to go back home and a link to go to the next or previous page of pics in this set. There's no listing of pages, so I have no idea how many pictures are in the set and I prefer being able to skip around instead of having to go through page by page.

The glamour sets are all very professional and high quality, as one would expect from a high profile personality such as Silvia Saint. Most of the high quality images are between 150 and 200 kb (though they can get larger) in filesize and usually around an 850x1280 resolution, making them large and crisp in the browser. From the image, you can navigate to the next and previous images, as well as go back to the front or forward to the end of the set or head back to the page of thumbs from which the current image was drawn. It's a relatively intuitive system, though I would like to see a .zip archive of the sets available for download. A slide show and/or favorites section would be pretty nice on a site like this as well.

The making-of pictures are obviously of a lower standard, but they still look quality and are always respresented well by a nice large resolution. The silvia Saint fan would probably really enjoy these sets though, for the casual observer, there's usually not much excitement. The action shots are usually magazine-style posed shoots with only a little bit of real action to be found.

The videos on the site focus on the action and behind-the-scenes stuff also represented in the photos. Clicking on a vid opens up the video in a Windows Media browser window- all vids are WMV, making the streaming annoyingly unscannable for the most part. The videos are of varying length and quality, but I would call the average quality fair to good. There's only one format for each vid, though it is downloadable (for multi-clip videos it would be helpful if there was a full scene download option, but there is not) and the videos usually contain Silvia solo or with another girl and appear to be mostly from other sites.

Clicking on the small text link ont he bottom marked "archives," I happen upon a new treasure trove of content. Here there are Silvia DVD rips, photo sets of other girls, Sylvia's "Club Girls" and some more video clips. Unfortunately, they're all listed here only as text links, so there's a lot of searching to be done to find something you're interested in. The DVD rips are all of moderate quality- the same type as found on the main page, so nothing too HQ here. For some reason, checking the different DVDCaps galleries, I run into the same listing as found on the main members' page. This is discouraging because there's actually a gallery titled "b/g hardcore" but it has no evidence of that type of content. There's some b/g to be found around the site (though not all Silvia), but it would be nice to have it centralized as it says it is. The whole archives section contains way more content than that main members' page, but it is so much more poorly layed-out that it's a hassle to even scan through.

There's also access to a "site" called AngelDark where you can find a handful of pictures of some other girl. I can only assume that there's actually more content on this site since those DVDCaps galleries weren't working, but I have no idea how to get to it if that's the case.

Conclusion

The bottom line here is that this site is disappointing. There's not the amount of Silvia Saint content one would expect with her name in the URL and not a lot of content period. The lack of quantity would be forgiven if there was at least some more intimate or exclusive Silvia Saint stuff, but it looks to me as if someone just licensed her name for use in the site. There's hardly any evidence or her involvement here, so if you're a Silvia fan, you're out of luck.
